THE AUTHOR
Frances Anna Gillette was born in Vancouver, Washington, and raised in Yacolt, Washington.
Fran is the oldest of seven children and learned to cook at a very young age, when food on the farm was simple and wholesome.
Frances A. Abernathy married Frances W. Gillette in 1959; together they were blessed with eight children. Their living children from oldest to youngest are: Lori, Heidi, Cheri, Luke, Mark, Cameron & Heather. All married with children.
Their oldest son, Jude, died in 1969 in a car accident. A little son with curls, only tree and a half years old!
For twelve years, Fran's brother, Jack, has lived with them.
Sonny and Fran has 46 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Fran, a registered nurse, and her daughter Lori,owns and operates "Superior Care for Seniors, Inc.", a referral placement services for the elderly.
Fran also does case management!
Fran says, "Thank You" to all those people who have bought and used her recipe books.
Her goal is to share good recipes and she feels passionate about keeping good food on the table!
